“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
Continuing on my Experiment in Terror week on my blog….
This week’s WoW is:
When the life you wanted has crumbled beneath your fingers, there’s nothing left to do but pick up the pieces and soldier on. You’ve done this before.
But what happens when you no longer feel like yourself anymore? When fires spontaneously start-up around you, when you hear growling coming from underneath your bed, and you no longer recognize your face in the mirror. What happens then?
Ghost-hunter Perry Palomino doesn’t have much time to find out. Now, the evil she used to hunt is a lot closer to home. It’s inside of her, taking over her life bit-by-terrifying bit, and there’s only one person who can help her.
If part of her doesn’t kill him first.
Why I’m waiting
I just recently read this entire series a week ago and I seriously cannot WAIT to read this one. Lying Season left with such a cliffhanger it’s crazy. So many possibilities of what could happen…..there are no words.
If you haven’t read this series yet, I strongly encourage you to do so. You will so not regret it. Plus, the author is crazy cool as well. 😉
Expected publication: May 13th 2012 by Metal Blonde Books
I also participated in the Cover Reveal for this book. You can check out the reveal post and special excerpt HERE

Review: The Benson by Karina Halle
This short story/novella sees amateur Youtube ghost-hunters, Perry Palomino and Dex Foray, investigating the real-life hauntings of Portland’s infamous Benson Hotel. It occurs between books #2 (Red Fox) and #3 (Dead Sky Morning) and is the perfect primer for anyone interested in the EIT series.
This was a short story, so this will be a somewhat short review. 😉
Even though this was novella, this suspense and creepy was still really evident.
It starts in the supposedly haunted hotel in Portland. Perry & Dex learns about a ghost that haunts one of the rooms of The Benson Hotel. They learn about an old sea captain that myseriously passes away and haunts the hotel.
Of course, Dex and Perry investigate. I won’t be spoiler-y so I’ll keep quiet >_<
I love every single part of this series and this novella is a great addition. I seriously recommend every novel! The Benson is only 99 cents. Who can’t afford 99 cents?
I have to let you in on a little bit o’Dex (cuz I’m a HUGE fan!)
And then there are his eyes. Dex’s eyes are his focal point, the part of him that wins people over or drives them away. Dark chocolate, enigmatic and emotive. Sometimes they are ruthless, sometimes seductive. They are a mystery as much as he is and the one thing I can’t help from drowning in over and over again.
