Frisky Fall Saturday: Futures & Frosting

Summer is over, but just because the temperature is dropping, doesn’t mean we have to stop reading scorching hot books! Frisky Fall Saturdays is  our new weekly post created by The Autumn ReviewThe Bookish BabeHackaroo’s Reviews, and Sim-Sational-Books. Feel free to join in. (let us know so we can add a link to your post that week) As those leaves start piling up in the yard, ignore them and pick up a sexy book and tell us about it!

This week’s frisky is:

Goodreads Decription:

Carter, Claire and Gavin have formed the perfect little family. Their friends are getting married and everyone is growing up, maturing and ready to face the future. Or are they?

From bachelorette party hell, porn addictions, dinner roll baseball and botched wedding proposals to finding out everyone’s extended family is chock full of crazy, Carter and Claire begin to question the strength of the ties that bind them. Unfortunately, these ties have nothing to do with fuzzy handcuffs and everything to do with the mounting differences between them.

Will their friends make a mess of things with their inappropriate comments and need to know everything, or will they convince the couple that happily-ever-after sometimes really can start with beer pong?

So last week I read and reviews Seduction and Snacks which was the first book in this series. You can read my review HERE. Needless to say that I LOVED S & S. Truly. I have never laughed so hard while reading a book as I did that one.

So I was really excited to read the second installment of it. After I finished the first one, I immediately grabbed this one.

I wasn’t let down. Futures and Frosting is the perfect conclusion to the Seduction and Snacks. Perfect. I do have to say while it did have it’s funny moments, it wasn’t as hilarious as the first.

This picks up right after Claire and Carter decide to live together and takes off running. I love the way Tara writes her characters and they way they think.

Carter is totally swoon worthy let me tell you. He is so sweet and endearing. I wanted to eat him up! He’s the perfect calm to Claire’s crazy. LOL

This whole book is the story of what it’s really like to start living with someone you’ve never lived with before  plus a kid that does not stop. Gavin is too hilarious for words. If it was my own kid, I’d smack his mouth but in this book, he fits right in.

Sometimes books kind of gloss over what it’s like when you live with someone. Not this one. It took me back to when I first moved in with my now husband. Going from only seeing him once in a while to almost seeing him every hour of every day is a lot to take in.

Claire handles is about as perfect as anybody else does.

Once again, the sex is hot and real. I enjoyed it far more than I have in other books. Even when it’s drunk sex it still sounds freakin sexy as hell. I’ve said it once and I will say it again…..I want a Carter of my own 😉

I really could not have thought up a better ending to Carter, Claire and Gavin’s story. These will be favorite additions to my collection and ones I will read over and over again. If you have not picked these up yet, I highly suggest that you do.

A public service announcement for me: If you see that your significant other is fast asleep and your initial whispered question doesn’t get a response, don’t be surprised if we start spewing green vomit out of the mouths of our rapidly spinning heads as you shake us awake to ask your stupid question fifty decibels louder than the first time.
