Debut Author Challenge 2012

DAC 2012

After thinking about it, I’ve decided to join up in the 2012 Debut Author Challenge that’s hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. A special thanks goes out to Kristi for hosting it. It’s a lot of work and research and she’s so amazing.

About the DAC

It is a year-long challenge that begins on January 1, 2012 and ends on January 31, 2013. (It has been extended a month so December 2012 debuts can count toward this year’s challenge.)

The goal is to read twelve novels (at least) from debut Young Adult or Middle Grade authors. (Click the button, above, for more info on The Story Siren’s website.)

The deadline to join is May 31, 2012 and in order to sign up you must have a blog to post reviews or you must be a member of Goodreads. And all reviews must be written in English.

My Goal for the DAC

So far, I’ve picked out 18 books that I would like to read before the year is out. I see the list getting longer before the year is out since there are SO MANY new books I would love to read. But, for now, it’s 18. I’ve never joined in anything like this before so I don’t want to do it. Also, my blog is only a month old and I’m still new at all of it. So I’m excited to start the whole thing. Here is my list (that will be updated throughout the year):

I’m really excited to be participating in this. A little nervous too I’ll admit. But more excited than anything. I can’t wait to read these books and look forward to adding more to the list.
